Husband bonded for choking his allegedly unfaithful wife
A Green Hill man, who pushed his wife to the ground and choked her in the presence of their daughter after accusing her of infidelity, has been bonded and was ordered to seek counselling at Marion House.
Lindon Ash appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court, before Senior Magistrate, Tammika McKenzie, on May 19, 2025 where he pleaded guilty for unlawfully and maliciously wounding Shelly-Ann Ash of Green Hill on April 28, 2025 at Kingstown Park.
The facts revealed in court are that Shelly-Ann and Lindon have been married for 26 years. At about 4:00 p.m on the date in question, Shelly-Ann went to her daughter’s primary school to collect her.
Upon arrival at the school, Shelly-Ann met Lindon, who attempted to speak to her. However, she did not respond.
Shelly-Ann left the school with the child and walked the route which leads to Kingstown Park; she observed that her husband was following her.
Lindon referred to Shelly-Ann as a bit*h and a slut, so Shelly-Ann stopped and told her husband not to follow her. Lindon then held on to Shelly-Ann’s neck and began choking her and continued to do so after pushing her to the ground.
Persons nearby intervened and pulled Lindon away from his wife. She went to the Criminal Investigation Department and made a report, which was entertained by PC 979 Jack.
