Ottley Hall Man Found Guilty of 2022 Boxing Day Murder

An Ottley Hall man, who was transported to seek medical attention during the jury’s deliberation after complaining about a tightness in his chest, was found guilty of a 2022 Boxing Day murder in Paul’s Avenue.

Tevin Bobb appeared at High Court #2 before Justice Rickie Burnett, on Wednesday, May 13, 2025 where he was found guilty that on December 26, 2022 with malice aforethought he caused the death of Mikhail Charles of Ottley Hall by an unlawful act.

Bobb was also convicted for possessing a firearm to aid in the commission of the offence of murder.

Dr Ronald Child, who medically examined Charles’ body following his death, found that Charles was shot in his head and neck.

However, Bobb denied being the shooter. He also denied chasing Mikhail while being in possession of a gun, and denied being in Paul’s Avenue at the time of the incident.

Instead, he claimed to be in Bequia. The Prosecution’s case, which was led by Devon Bute and Cornelius Tittle, heavily relied on the evidence given by Charles’ girlfriend.

She testified that she has been in a relationship with Charles for five years and has known Bobb since at primary school. The judge’s summation was that Charles and Bobb had greeted each other earlier in the day while they were in Kingstown.

Charles’ girlfriend then asked him if he was ready to leave. When they reached the area of the courthouse, she received a phone call warning her to be careful.

They both then walked from the corner of the Vinlec headquarters to Grand Bazaar, to the gas station, and then Tarya’s Ital shop. Charles’ girlfriend then saw Bobb heading towards them and told Charles to run.

She ran into a gap in someone’s yard and her boyfriend ran past her while Bobb chased him. She was able to identify Bobb’s face. After a loud explosion was heard, people in the area said that Charles was dead.

She then saw Charles lying on the ground.
