American Airlines to increase airlift to SVG

Come December 7, 2024, American Airlines will begin servicing two additional routes weekly to destination St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). The legs added are from Charlotte, North Carolina; and JFK, New York to Argyle International Airport.

Minister of Tourism, Carlos James who said he was “thrilled” with this development noted too that the new flights will enhance air access and boost the local tourism sector.

“Tourism is undeniably a significant contributor to our GDP. As the Minister of Tourism, I am honoured to lead the transformation of the tourism sector in St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” Minister James said.

In welcoming the additional flights, he pointed out that all tourism stakeholders in St Vincent and the Grenadines “are the foundation that helps create the product we call destination Saint Vincent and the Grenadines”.

He credits the progress within the sector to the work of stakeholders and vowed to further improve accessibility, accommodation, and attractions.(API)
