Homicide investigation launched into death of New Montrose man
The police have launched a homicide investigation into the death of a 42 year old man of New Montrose whose partly decomposed body was found on April, 30, 2024.
A release from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) states that the investigation was opened into the death of Ronaltho Bute following the results of a post-mortem examination. The results are that Bute died as a result of blunt trauma to the head.
The RSVGPF said as a result, it has elevated the case to a homicide investigation.
Bute’s body was discovered in a residence located at Walker Piece, New Montrose by the homeowner during a routine property inspection, the release states.
It was a stench that led to the discovery of the body which initially had not been identified. However, a family member later identified the body as that of Bute.
The police say they are actively pursuing all leads and are committed to undertaking a thorough investigation.
