Yambou mechanic charged for wounding elderly man with cutlass

Police arrested a mechanic of Yambou for the offence of wounding.

Bertram Jackson, 50 years, was charged on April 11, 2024 for unlawfully and maliciously wounding a 87-year-old retired farmer also of Yambou.

Jackson allegedly struck the farmer on his head, left hand and about his body with a cutlass. The incident occurred at Yambou on May 18, 2021 about 5:30 pm.

Jackson was granted station bail and was expected to appear before the Mesopotamia Court on the April 19, 2024 to answer the charge.
