Farmer charged with possession of 1,816 grams of cannabis, gun and ammo

A Georgetown farmer was charged in connection with drugs and firearm possession.

On April 12, police arrested Dearon Glasgow, age 37, in the Dickon Village community with 30 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition without a license issued under the Firearm Act. He was also allegedly found in possession of 1,816 grams of cannabis with intent to supply to another.

He was later charged on the same date for having in his possession one KAHR P .45 pistol without a license issued under the firearm act serial number unknown and also being in possession of six rounds of .45 ammunition without a license issued under the Firearm Act.

Glasgow appeared before the Serious Offenses Court on April 15, 2024. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and was granted one surety in the sum of $10,000 composite bail and is to report to the Georgetown Police Station every Wednesdays between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.

The matter was adjourned to June 17, 2024.
