South Rivers man described as ‘a gentle human being’ found dead

Residents of the village of South Rivers were plunged into a state of anguish on Tuesday night, following the discovery of the body of a fellow villager.

The body of Clinton Hacksaw was found along a relatively lonely road in the area.

Reports are that Hackshaw’s body bore several gunshot injuries to his back.

While villagers in South Rivers are still trying to come to grips with the latest killing Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves addressed the matter on NBC radio on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

He described the deceased as a gentle human being, a person who was very quiet.

Gonsalves who is the Parliamentary Representative for the North Central Windward constituency, which includes South Rivers, said he does not know why anyone would want to kill Hackshaw.

He added that on Wednesday morning, he had a conversation with acting Commissioner of Police Enville Williams on the matter.

“The people of South Rivers are enraged about this matter.

“It has hurt them to their being. This is not the sort of a thing which happens up there.”

He added that he hopes to see the police get to the bottom of this murder very quickly, noting that there is “a small minority of wicked evil people,” in this land.

He also called on members in the various communities to respond to crimes in ways that help the police.

“We have to fight together this kind of monstrosity by the tiny group of persons,” he urged.

On March 19,2024 another shooting death was recorded with the killing of Ottley Hall resident, Camron “Boogie” Miller.

The 33-year-old was fatally shot in broad day light.
