Edinboro labourer charged with unlawful possession of shotgun bullets

A 25 year old labourer of Edinboro was placed on a 7:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m curfew at his residence when he appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, March 21, 2024 charged with the unlawful possession of two 12-gauge shotgun cartridges without a licence issued under the Firearms Act.

Courtney Phillips was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety after he pleaded not guilty to the charge. Additionally, the court ordered that he reports at the Central Police Station every Monday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Phillips was arrested at about 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday March, 20, 2024 during an operation conducted by the police in Edinboro, a release from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) states.

The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court for trial on August 12, 2024.
