Rains dislodge large boulder at Biabou

Heavy and persistent rains on Tuesday resulted in a landslide at Biabou, which luckily, occurred before traffic got busy along the Windward Highway.

The slippage of the large boulder and other materials happened along the roadway opposite the Biabou Anglican church, a usually busy highway for both vehicles and pedestrians.

The Roads, Building, and General Services Authority (BRAGSA), however, was quick in their response clearing the debris ahead of the busy morning traffic period. St Vincent and the Grenadines has been experiencing what many may see as unusual showers during what is usually the driest month of the year. However, there were not any reports of major damage as a result of the showers.
