Schools to close for two days for CELAC Summit

The Ministry of Education is instituting a two day closure of schools in light of the upcoming Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

The ministry said in a notice that schools will be closed on Thursday, February 29, and Friday March, 1, 2024.

The ministry has requested that heads of educational institutions are asked to ensure that students are assigned work to account for the loss of instructional time. The CELAC summit, will be held at the Sandals St Vincent Resorts at Buccament.
