UN representatives from Taiwan’s diplomatic allies visit Taiwan
A group of representatives to the United Nations (UN) from Taiwan’s diplomatic allies visited Taiwan from November 13 to 18.
A release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan said the representatives from Paraguay, St Vincent and the Grenadines, the Marshall Islands, Belize, and Nauru were in Taiwan to meet with President Tsai Ing-wen and other senior officials.
Members of the delegation included the Permanent Representative of St Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations (UN) Inga Rhonda King, Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to the UN Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua, Permanent Representative of Nauru to the UN Margo Deiye, Permanent Representative of Belize to the UN Carlos Fuller and his wife and Chargé d’Affaires of the Permanent Mission of Paraguay to the UN José Eduardo Pereira Sosa and his wife.
The Foreign Affairs ministry said the trip provided an opportunity for the visiting delegation to learn more about Taiwan through exchanges while helping relevant ministries and agencies better understand the operations of the UN system.
