Motorcyclist succumbs to his injuries

The motorcyclist who was seriously injured in an accident on Sunday, September 23, has died.

Dario Browne, who sustained multiple injuries in an accident at San Souci, died on Sunday, November 12 at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

Browne, who is popularly known as Corey, has been in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit since the accident.

He was also flown to Trinidad for further medical intervention, but returned to the ICU last month.

Browne, who was an employee of VINLEC, was left in a coma after the accident.

However within recent weeks, he had been showing signs of regaining consciousness and his family was very hopeful.

They are now shattered by the death and are now faced with the burden of making funeral preparations.

Browne lived with his parents at South Rivers. He was riding his motorcycle home on September 23, when he was involved in an accident with two other vehicles.

The young father of one suffered injuries to his brain, spine, ribs and limbs.

Browne’s family is thankful to all who prayed, made donations or supported them in any way since the accident.

Earlier this year, another young man died after a motorcycle accident.

Maxian Horne crashed into a wall in Colonaire while riding his motorcycle on February 7.

Horne suffered head and back injuries and died two weeks after the accident.

He lived at Chili Village in Georgetown.
