Police Force provides training for Gazetted Officers

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) says it will host a two day training workshop for Gazetted Officers within the organisation.

Gazetted Officers comprise ranks from Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) up to the rank of Commissioner of Police (COP).

The September 28-29 workshop will be preceded by a brief opening ceremony at which Commissioner of Police, Colin John will deliver the keynote address and lieutenant William Theobalds, training officer will give an overview.

The workshop is intended to focus on change management; craft effective communication; foster emotional intelligence within the rank; and improve disaster management skills.

The sessions will be facilitated by Governor General, Dame Susan Dougan; general manager of NBC Radio, Dionne John;senior education officer with responsibility for schools research and safety, Idelia Ferdinand; and administrative officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade,Melissa Roache.
