Students overcome rough seas at SJCK

DESPITE the challenges encountered during the last school year, the St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown was able to achieve an overall pass rate of 88 per cent in the 2022 May/June sitting of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC).

“It was indeed a challenge for these students, particularly after losing some of their teachers at such a delicate stage of their studies. Nonetheless, they paddled the rough waters with success,” a release from the school said.

The all-girl school, which ranked third in St Vincent and the Grenadines based on the CSEC results said their highest performers were Kristy DaSilva who obtained 11 passes – 6 grade ones and 5 grade twos; Kay-Anna John who obtained 10 passes – 5 grade ones, 4 grade twos and 1 grade three; and Angelique Tucker who obtained 11 passes – 1 grade one, 8 grade twos and 2 grade threes.

Other top performers were: Azaria Ralph, T’Kiya Williams, Rianka Chance, Daniela Duncan, Anaya Llewellyn, Kiana Quashie and Brianna Arthur.
