Family seeking prayers for man’s full recovery after vehicle accident

RELATIVES OF A man who was struck by a vehicle, are asking for prayers for his speedy recovery.

Lemoth Nero was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday May 17 at about 2.30 p.m, along the Owia public road while walking towards his home.

The vehicle reportedly struck Nero from behind, causing him serious injuries.

Incidentally, Nero is a baker and the vehicle which is said to have struck him was at the time reportedly being used as a bread van.

The 46-year-old Owia resident sustained serious injuries, including two broken hips, internal bleeding and bruises about his body.

His sister, Anadia Nero said doctors at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital have since fitted her brother’s hips with steel and at present he is unable to walk.

He was discharged from hospital on Tuesday, May 24.

“I do not know if he could travel right now, but we probably need to take him overseas for further treatment,” the sister stated.

“He had gone to the river to take a bath and was returning home to get ready for work when the accident took place,” the sister explained.

Nero was taken to the Owia clinic immediately after the accident; he also was treated at the hospital in Georgetown before been sent on to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
