Embassy of the USA hands over Satellite phones to SVG

The Embassy of the United States of America for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean handed over two Satellite phones to the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines yesterday, Thursday May 30.

The two Iridium 9555 Satellite phones were handed over on a loan basis to be used by the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines during the 2019 hurricane season; one for the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines and the other will be assigned to the Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO).

Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the United States of America for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Joaquin F Monserrate handed over the phones to the Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation Michelle Forbes, who acted as a signatory for receipt of the phones.

The Handing Over Ceremony took place at NEMO’s Conference Room.
