Activities for Public Service Week kicks off on June 17

The Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU) within the Service Commissions Department will for another year join the International Community to celebrate Public Servants and their work/contribution through the hosting of Public Service Week 2019 to commemorate Public Service Day.

The theme for this year’s celebrations is ‘Promoting Gender and Diversity Responsive Public Services to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’.

Activities are scheduled to commence on June 17 and culminate on June 23 under the following objectives:

  •  Creating avenues for the exchange of experiences, ideas innovations and good practices in the Public Service;
  • Enhancing professionalism and motivating Public Servants;
  • Improving the quality of service delivery through the experience of citizens;
  •  Sensitizing public servants on the importance of streamlining gender and diversity
