Liquid Petroleum Gas cheaper due to decrease in price nationwide
Purchasers of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) will now pay less than previously, due to a decrease in price nationwide.
The decrease in price ranges from as little as $2.80 to as much as $14.19.
According to a release from the Agency for Public Information, people living in Area I, which spans Arnos Vale to Lowmans Leeward will pay $34.66 for the a 20lb cylinder of LPG. This is almost three dollars less than the previous price of $37.46. The cost of a 25lb cylinder moved from $45.57 to $42.08 and a 100lb cylinder now costs $168.30 as opposed to the previous price of $182.50.
In Area II, which includes communities beyond Lowmans Leeward to Keartons and Arnos Vale to Langley Park, LPG prices decreased from $39.46 to $35.66 for a 20lb cylinder, $47.57 to $43.08 for a 25lb cylinder and from $182.50 to $168.31 for a 100lb cylinder.
Area III is made up of all areas on the mainland that do not fall into Areas I or II. And the cost of a 20lb cylinder is $36.66, almost three dollars less than the previous price. The cost of a 25 lb cylinder decreased by $3.49 and now stands at $44.08 while the cost of a 100lb cylinder is $168.31, more than $14 less than the previous price.
Area IV refers to the Grenadines and prices decreased from $42.46 to $39.66 for the 20lb cylinder of LPG, from $50.57 to 47.08 for a 25lb cylinder and from $203.30 to $189.31 for a 100lb cylinder.
These changes are conferred by the Price and Distribution of Goods Act.
