Retired nurses group elects new executive
The SVG Retired Nurses Association (SVGRNA) has elected a new executive to run the affairs of the association for the next two years.
Elected on Monday, January 28 were Advira Providence, President; Ann DeRoche, Vice President (out going president); Ynold Smart, Secretary; Clari Gilbert, Treasurer; Ganis DaSilva, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer; Anita Williams, Public Relations Officer; Joan Mayers and Elizabeth Cyrus, Committee members. The Presiding Officer was Zeitha Hadaway.
Elections are held every two years.
In her address, the Immediate Past President wished the Association a term filled with achievements and successes. She suggested fostering and closer collaboration with other nursing personnel and associations, both in SVG and abroad to promote a more inclusive, active, vibrant body. This, she opined should increase membership in the association. She thanked all the members for their contributions during the two years of her tenure.
The Association is in its eighth year and has offered much charitable assistance to various communities, organizations and individuals. This they pledge to continue.
