Cannabis Revival Committee builds its capacity to transition to formal economic life
THE CANNABIS Revival Committee (CRC) has been developing the necessary structures and organizational capacity of traditional cultivators to allow them to transition to a formal economic life.
A meeting of the CRC was held recently at which members articulated that “a Medical Cannabis Industry will fail unless there is genuine, comprehensive, and structural participation of traditional cultivators in the process.”
The CRC, a non partisan organization, is the representative organization of traditional cannabis growers throughout SVG.
The meeting, which had about 30 participants, also discussed issues
of fair trade, emphasizing the participation of the youths, and sustainable development.
The CRC, in a release, expressed thanks to Bernard Hamilton, a former manager of the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines Capacity, who is providing the organization with capacity building support.
