Off-duty police officer robbed at gunpoint

An off-duty police officer was robbed of his money last Monday night, as he was making his way home from work.

According to a police press release, the police officer was accosted by masked gun men who robbed him of EC$40 in the vicinity of the old Stubbs Police Station on the morning of the September 24, at about 11:50pm.

The complainant indicated that the masked men searched his person and his belongings and after finding nothing of value allowed him to leave.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force in the release said it does not condone any acts of criminality against the citizens of St Vincent and the Grenadines or its visitors regardless to one’s status in life.

“We continue to urge the citizens of this country to be law abiding and co-operate with the police fully in their investigations,” the release said.
