Sister duo wins UK Groovy Soca Monarch

Fresh off a fantastic Vincy Mas debut, the sister sister duo of Samantha ‘Sunshine’ Bryant and Nadine ‘Nadiva’ Bryant returned to the United Kingdom (UK) where they won the UK Groovy Soca Monarch competition.

They won the competition which was held on August 17 at “The Tabernacle” with their song “I Got It” while competing against six other artistes.

“We are so grateful. Thanks to God for giving us the strength to persevere even when we are weak,” Nadiva wrote in a Facebook post on August 18.

The girls also thanked Rondy ‘Luta’ McIntosh and several other persons who helped them.

Performing for the first time this year in the local Ragga Soca Competition, the duo placed eighth.

“We think we have represented Soca well this year,” Nadiva also said in her Facebook post.
