Taiwan Changhua Christian Hospital medical team visits again

The medical team of the Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) in Taiwan is scheduled to provide medical services at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital from July 30 to August 10.

The eight members of the team are Dr. Hsiao-Ling Kao, the team leader, Dr. Peng-Hsiang Fang (Neurosurgery), Dr. Keng-Chu Ke (Nephrology), Dr. Hsiu-Hui Hsu (Chinese Medicine), He-Man Shen (ER nurse), Ya-Hsin Lan (Anesthesiology nurse), Kuang-Hua Chang (Technician, Medical Imaging) and Yu-Chun Liang (Biomedical Engineer).

In 2010, the MCMH and the CCH were twinned. Since then, cooperation and exchanges between the two hospitals have expanded and deepened significantly. The CCH not only sends its medical teams to visit the MCMH every year, but also provides different customized training programs for the medical staff from the MCMH. Moreover, five medical staff-members of MCMH will travel to Taiwan to visit the CCH and attend some workshops there later this year.

Dr. Kao stated that the collaboration between the MCMH and the CCH has been enhanced in different fields year after year. The CCH is convinced that the mutually beneficial relationship will be further strengthened and looks forward to continuing cooperation in the future.

During their stay in Kingstown, the medical team will work closely with the doctors, nurses and staff at the MCMH. Dr. Kao expressed thanks for the support from the Ministry of Health and the MCMH, and she also emphasized that every member is very glad to have such an opportunity to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines and provide medical services here.
