Police investigating burglaries at Nelson Block Mas Tent

Police are investigating two burglaries that took place at the McCoy Street location of the Nelson Block Mas Tent.

According to reports, the Carnival masquerade production venue was burglarized between Sunday, July 22, at 3 p.m. and Monday, July 23, at 3 p.m., and again between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, and 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25.

New Montrose resident Alvern “Ali” Cadogan, one of the persons behind Nelson Block, said the burglar or burglars stole five swim suits with a combined value of US$750, a portion of “dust powder”, value unknown, and decorations, value also unknown.

Also missing are one bottle of Stone Ginger Wine valued at EC$20, one bottle of Sparrow valued at EC$25, one bottle of Sunset Strong Rum valued at EC$15, one bottle of Campari valued at EC$20 and a car deck valued at EC$100.

Investigations are ongoing.
