‘Dress for Success’ seminar seeks to empower women

The Arise and Blossom Women’s Organization will host its second event for 2017 at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown.

The event, titled “Dress for Success,” is the ultimate three-in-one dynamic forum, which includes fashion tips from Vincentian and Barbadian fashion designers and stylists, a free store and a fashion show. The forum would be a platform for women and young ladies to be encouraged and empowered to live their best lives.

Renowned Vincentian retail manager and classic fashionista Jean Johnney-Findlay will share her expertise on dressing for success, while local fashion designer, entrepreneur and physicist Kimsha Williams will give insight on starting fashion design businesses.

Barbadian Shawna Rowena will share fashion tips that help women to easily dress for success and Melina Belle will help participants to develop their personal styles.

The Organization’s founders, Dr Arusha Campbell-Chambers and Bishop Juliette Campbell, state that the Arise and Blossom Women’s Organization seeks to uplift and equip women to put their best selves forward and represent themselves to the best of their ability.

“We hope to inspire confidence and the belief that women can achieve their goals, take their seat at the table of success and fulfil their purpose in life,” a release from the organizers said.

Proceeds are in aid of Hurricane Relief efforts and skills training workshops for women.

Conference pre-registration will be available for only $30 at Coreas City Store, at PR Campbell & Co in Kingstown, as well as online registration by email to ariseandblossom@gmail.com; $40 at the door.
