Fourteen awards for Iana

In the SEARCHLIGHT edition of Friday, June 30, we incorrectly stated that Iana Ferguson received eight awards at the June 29, 2017 graduation ceremony of the St Vincent Girls’ High School.

 
Iana, who was valedictorian, actually received 14 awards.Congratulations, Iana and we apologize for the error.

Following are the awards Iana received:

1 First for Form 4 Science for 2015-2016

2 Sol Award for 2016-2017 (Academic excellence, leadership,good conduct, good attendance,involvement in co-curricular activities)

3 Governor General’s prize for English A (Language)

4 Lady Antrobus Prize for English B (Literature)

5 GHS New York Alumnae Award for Biology

6 GHS New York Alumnae Award for Chemistry

7 GHS New York Alumnae Award for Physics

8 Alliance Française prize for French

9 Gladys Hadley Prize for Geography

10 Clare Keizer award for Information Technology

11 Additional Mathematics Award

12 Top Prefect Award

13 The Luenda Mulraine award for the student who best exemplifies initiative and resourcefulness

14 The Prime Minister’s Award for Student of the Year
