Thanksgiving Service to commemorate country’s 37th year of Independence

“Renewed in Christ; committed to a new SVG” is the theme under which a Thanksgiving Service will be held to mark this country’s 37th year of political independence.

Reverend Adolf Davis, Superintendent Minister of the Kingstown-Chateaubelair Circuit of Methodist Church, on Thursday announced that the service, which will be held in collaboration with the various churches in the Body of Christ in St Vincent and the Grenadines, is set to take place at the Kingstown Methodist Church on Sunday, October 23, 4 p.m.{{more}}

The service will feature the Kingstown Baptist Church Worship Team, Kara Dance Ministry, Harvest Bible Chapel Music Ministry, and various Ministers of Gospel sharing in prayer for and proclamations over this nation.

The preacher at the service is Rev Davis, and he is urging Vincentians – and not just members of the various churches – to come out and praise God.

“This service will provide the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines with the opportunity to affirm the sovereignty of God over this land, highlight our true identity as Hairouna… home of the blessed, and reflect on God’s will and word for our nation.”

St Vincent and the Grenadines will celebrate its 37th year of Independence on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
