Department of energy to host public meetings

The Department of Energy, Prime Minister’s Office in collaboration with The St Vincent Geothermal Company Limited (SVGCL) will host two public meetings this weekend.

The first meeting will be held tomorrrow, Saturday, September 24 at 4 p.m. at the Farmers’ Training Institute, Orange Hill.{{more}}

On Sunday, September 25 at 3 p.m. at New Grounds Learning Resource Centre, North Union, the second meeting will be held.

The public is invited to attend and provide feedback on upcoming work on the geothermal development project, including impacts and mitigation measures for the planned road work and infrastructure scheduled to start on the La Soufriere Road.

On Saturday, the school bus will leave the Old Sandy Bay Primary School at 3:15 p.m. picking up people on the main road to the Training Institute.

On Sunday, the school bus will pick up persons from Georgetown Police Station at 2 p.m., through the main road Chester Gap, Byera, Colonarie, Mt Greenan to the New Grounds Learning Resource Centre and also from Peruvian Vale, Biabou, Cedars up to the Learning Resource Centre, North Union.
