Vincy Culture Fest set for July 7
The Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture and the St Vincent and the Grenadines Port Authority, in collaboration with the Organization of American States, will host the 2016 Vincy Culture Fest on Thursday, July 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday, July 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kingstown Cruise Ship Terminal. Participants trained under the OAS Special Multilateral Fund for Integral Development (FEMCIDI) Craft Enhancement and Business Planning Project will showcase their variety of craft product lines. Other craft professionals and artisans will also exhibit a wide variety of locally inspired and produced items. To add to this spectacle, delectable Vincentian dishes and beverages will be on sale.
Vincy Culture Fest 2016 presents a unique opportunity for Carnival visitors and Vincentians here and in the diaspora to shop for real Vincy souvenirs, which are well crafted and packaged.
Local entertainment will be a feature of this yearâs Vincy Culture Fest, with lunch time, mid-afternoon and late afternoon segments on Thursday, and continuous entertainment from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Admission is free.
