“Traditionally, Guinness Posse has not been a simple band and this year is no exception… we will show you why Guinness is made of more,” said London-Williams.

For the hard-core revellers, Guinness will present the $45 package, while the more mellow partygoers can subscribe to Guinness Posse HD.

The $45 special will provide revellers with a Guinness bag, bandana, glow stick, glow bottle, glow necklace, glow t shirt, a safety pack, snacks, popsicles and unlimited Guinness drinks and black barrel rum shops.

Guinness Posse HD will be an ultra-inclusive, ultra-premium band powered by Remy Martin Cognac.

“This year we will have, for the first time in St Vincent and the Grena-dines, where every member of the band enjoys unlimited Remy Martin Cognac, unlimited Guinness and other premium drinks, special mugs and accessories, including bags by local designer Peta Odini,” said London-Williams.

She said that Guinness Posse HD will feature a mobile lounge, where persons can relax, “if they don’t want to party”.

“We will be representing our hard-core and raw fans, who know how to party and enjoy everything that embodies the true spirit of Guinness, but also we will be presenting an ultra-premium band, Guinness Posse HD that will represent the person who wants to experience Guinness at an elevated level of VVIP experience on the streets of Kingstown,” stressed London-Williams, who promises, “surprises, as we endeavour to deliver the best.”

“…for 2016, Guinness Posse made of black, links not only the colour, but the attitude of a beer that represents the vibrant spirit of its consumers. The Monday

T-shirt band will be a new era, as we take Vincentians on a journey of what black is made of,” said London-Williams, who added, “on Monday, July 4th, St Vincent will once again celebrate the boldness and vision of the creativity of Guinness”.

She said that Guinness is a brand that celebrates creativity and boldness and this year, “we will be doing that in an exemplary way, by partnering with one of St Vincent’s greatest, youngest, freshest and most creative designers.”

Each member of the Guinness Posse HD band will get a Peta Odini bag, with the first 200 members of the band receiving the special Peta Rabbit bag, while everyone else will receive the Peta Odini tote bag.

Music will be provided by Trinidadian DJ Lord Hype, DJ Trevlyn and local DJs Simple Sounds and Emerald Sounds.

This year, also, Guinness will also partnering with Gamal ‘Skinny Fabulous’ Doyle and Black Rave.

Doyle, speaking at Tuesday’s launch said that this year, Black Rave is celebrating six years, while he as an entertainer is celebrating 15 years in the soca business.

As a result, Black Rave 2016, will feature Beenie Man, one of Doyle’s first influences in music.

Doyle said that the event will have a one-hour performance and is being held under the theme, “15 years of Skinny Fabulous music, Black Rave, Back to Black”.

“My early inspiration in music came from Bounty Killer and Beenie Man. Because I wanted to celebrate what started me in music, we invited Beenie Man; so, it will be Skinny Fabulous meets Beenie Man, as one of the main acts…normally we associate black with bad things, but we are changing that,” said Doyle, who is also hoping to make Black Rave about the local artistes.

Apart from Beenie Man, the event will also see performances from, among others, Lava Man, Tallpree and Razor B, while local acts Luta, Fireman Hooper, Problem Child, Jamesy P, Kev, Mason, Hance John and Ozarie will also do their thing.

“Come out and support the local artistes,” said Doyle, who is also encouraging persons to wear black on June 11, the day of Black Rave at the Victoria Park.
