âThey have created a unique opportunity in St Vincent and the Grenadines where eight companies have come together to form a very strong brand and I think that is unique in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
âWe need to take and use this company as an example of some of the things we need to do in St Vincent and the Grenadines,â Beache continued.
The Tourism Authority CEO, who also stood in for Minister of Tourism and area representative Cecil McKie stated âwhen you look at whatâs taking place in this constituency, one cannot help but be pleased and if I were Minister McKie I would be very proud to be representing this area as well.â
Beache also noted that when the Argyle International Airport comes on stream, a lot more development will take place in St Vincent, especially from CARICOM based companies and St Vincent needs to be ready to take them on.
âWe have to be ready to take them on and I think when one looks at a company like this, one cannot help but be pleased and satisfied with what they have accomplished.â
Also speaking at the launch was representative from Invest SVG Allan Alexander, who said that his organization has taken on OSV as an aftercare client.
âThere are many lessons to be learnt today, especially for our local businesses. It shows that staying small is just one option that you can take in business,â he stated.
âI strongly urge our business community to consider or reconsider our culture of being against partnerships and see the bigger picture of what the force and effect that this company will have on the business landscape and the economy of St Vincent and the Grenadines.â
Wayne Hull, president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Chamber of Commerce, congratulated the investors on their excellent initiative, which has created a historic day in the business community.
âThis transformation of these businesses to a single group by having a superior product mix under a single umbrella is an excellent initiative and is a formula for guaranteeing you long-term success.â
He encouraged them to take advantage of and use the support structures offered by the Chamber.
âOSV has in-house a wealth of experience and a wide number of business areas, ranging from optical care and health supplies to industrial and automotive paints, air conditioning, solar water heating, tools, hardware supplies and commercial office fit-outs, just to name a few,â Trevor Pile of OSV stated during his welcome remarks.
He noted that OSV is looking forward to serving Vincentians in a professional, honest and creative way.
âOur minimum aim is to fulfill our clientsâ expectations and where possible to exceed them while still delivering on time and within your budget,â Pile also stated.
