Church service to usher in 2016

For the second year, the Ministry of Education will hold a special church service to officially usher in the New Year.

The service is being held under the theme “Transforming Lives Through Selfless Service.” It is intended to pay homage to God and to seek His direction in future educational pursuits.

Special prayers will be offered for all educational institutions, for all persons in administration and all other stakeholders in education. Bishop Wendell Roberts of the New Life Ministries will deliver the sermon.

The service will take place this Thursday, January 7, at the New Life Ministries Church in North Union. It will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to gather together educators, students and other important stakeholders in education. It will be broadcast live on NBC Radio.
