X104.3 FM making impact on education in SVG
Through its focus on educating the public and the youth on a whole, X104.3 FM wrapped up its summer promotion by providing a full scholarship to one primary school student, while awarding two secondary school students for participating in an essay/poetry competition held in association with IT Solutions.
Lamar Jack, of the Belair Primary School, was selected for a scholarship of text books, stationery and uniforms for the upcoming school term, which commences on Monday, September 7.{{more}}
Jack was chosen based on a review of his grades and the potential which his school principal says he possesses. This scholarship is expected to continue.
Meanwhile, at the end of August, two winners were selected for the for X104.3 FMâs Essay/Poetry competition.
Kristiane Wyllie, of the Barrouallie Secondary School, won the essay competition, while the poetry winner was Aaron Ambrose, of the St Vincent Grammar School.
The two secondary students received school supplies compliments X104.3FM, as well as free IT support, compliments IT Solutions.
Managing director of Xtreme 104.3 FM Davon âBassicâ Cato said the radio station plans to be more involved in education as time progresses. He added that X104.3 FM would roll out more information this month.
