The East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) has donated $1,000 each to two local organizations, namely, Special Olympics St Vincent and the Grenadines and the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association.{{more}}
Special Olympics SVG is preparing to participate in the worldâs largest humanitarian and sporting event, Special Olympics World Summer Games, to be held in Los Angeles, California from July 25 to August 2, 2015. The SVG Netball Association is slated to attend the Under 23 Netball Championship in St Kitts from July 4 to 14 2015.
A release from ECGC said the company recognizes the significant economic benefits of sport to local development.
âUnderstanding how Sporting conquests afford young people holistic opportunities for social advancement and expression, the company has seen fit to contribute to this social force by providing sponsorship to two youth based organizations,â the release said.
