A lunch room will soon be constructed at the Paget Farm Government School, thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Moonhole Foundation.

Last Monday, US$6,000 was handed over to headteacher of the school Annette McCree, by representative of the foundation Amos Eno,{{more}} who stated that six homeowners in Moonhole contributed to the effort, which was spearheaded by Carol Rooth.

McCree expressed her elation at the gesture and said the money would be put to good use. She said that on initial contact with Rooth, the plans were to construct a sick bay, but she has realized that there is more urgent need for a lunch room.

According to McCree, construction of this lunch room is most likely to commence during the month of March. She urged Eno and his team to stay in touch with the school so that they would know how things are progressing and what is being done.

Eno said that the foundation wants to continue its financial assistance to, and nuturing of the school and to make it their number one project. He noted that the Friends of Moonhole played a major role in the establishment of the famous Bequia Turtle Sanctuary and has also sponsored a swimming project on Bequia.
