Dialysis patient gets help from AGCCO

Weeks after hosting a Christmas princess pageant and its annual Christmas party for children in Georgetown and surrounding communities, the Aunty G Charitable Christmas Organization (AGCCO) donated proceeds from the event to a kidney dialysis patient.{{more}}

18-year-old Kristin John Lewis was the recipient of $1,000 from the organization, to help cover dialysis treatment at Health Solutions Inc.

The Calder resident was admitted to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in May last year, after abscesses were discovered about his body.

It was later diagnosed that the student of the Student Support School in Frenches was experiencing kidney failure.

AGCCO president Georgette “Aunty G” Nanton says that she hopes that the donation would help in easing the financial burden of Lewis and his family, and called on others to assist the family in its time of need.(JJ)
