Locally based med School enrolls sixty percent more students

The American University of St Vincent School of Medicine (AUS) held its 3rd White Coat Ceremony at the Grenadine House conference room on the January, 17, 2014.{{more}}

The ceremony marks the beginning of a new semester and the acceptance of 60 per cent more new students into the school. During the ceremony the students were presented with their White Coat after which they recited the Hippocratic Oath. Microbiology lecturer, Dr Jose Davy Msc Infectious Diseases, delivered the keynote address and advised the students to be dedicated and committed to the career they have chosen and serve their patients. Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment Clayton Burgin was there and addressed the incoming students as well. Present at the ceremony were other dignitaries, administrator of the university Ag. and vice president of operations Sarah Curtis, faculty members, staff and existing students. AUS, located at New Montrose, started operations on June 4, 2012 and has its head office in Dallas, US.
