Ricky Adams, Consultant and Organizer of the event hailed it as satisfactory.

The walk or ride was part of celebrations for the recently concluded CARICOM Energy Week observed from November 10 to 16.

Adams however noted that they have seen growth of participation compared to last year’s event. This is the second year the event is being held.

“We would have liked to have more participation but the people who were there, they actually had fun. The persons who participated understood the reason for the walk.

“In future our intentions are to make the event even bigger,” Adams told SEARCHLIGHT.

The walk or ride event got underway from 4 p.m. and featured just over 40 participants; THE majority walking with few cyclers from Heritage Square along the island’s main road and onto the Vinlec’s power station in Cane Hall and back. (AA)
