Mitchell died from multiple gunshot wounds – Police
Police have confirmed that homicide victim Duwayne Mitchell died as a result of the multiple gunshots he sustained last week.{{more}}
Mitchell, also known as âChuckyâ to acquaintances, was shot and killed on Thursday, August 8, at about 10:15 p.m., just yards from his home at Gibson Corner.
He lived there with his grandmother and three-year-old daughter.
Residents of the area told SEARCHLIGHT that on that night, two bursts of rapid gunfire were heard, and shortly after, Mitchellâs body was discovered not too far from a bus stop on the main road.
Police recovered numerous shell casings at the scene, and most of the bullets are said to have hit Mitchell about his body.
Mitchell is expected to be buried this Sunday. (JJ)
