New leadership for New Testament Church of God

After providing pastoral care for over 10 years at the New Testament Church of God (NTCOG), Wendell Davis was inaugurated on Sunday, August 4,{{more}} as the Administrative Bishop for all New Testament Churches in St Vincent and the Grenadines and St Lucia.

Wendell Davis, a Vincentian, who is the current Pastor of the New Testament Church of God at Diamonds has been serving in that capacity for 11 years and has now advanced to Bishop, with responsibility for the administration and management of all NTCOG churches in both countries. He takes over from Bishop Benjamin Samuel, another Vincentian, who served in the post for the past 27 years.

The inauguration service was officiated by the Caribbean Field Director Bishop Ishmael Charles. Hundreds of parishioners witnessed the historic moment. Delegations from Barbados, the Turks and Caicos and Tortola also witnessed the event. Bishop Davis, who hails from Diamonds, is the third national to be appointed to this high office.

The NTCG was opened here in 1940. There are now 18 assemblies in St Vincent and four in St Lucia, with a number of churches affiliated to the organisation.
