The Police Service Commission has granted approval for several promotions and appointments in the Police Department and Coast Guard service, effective July 16, 2013.{{more}}

Carlos Sampson, Superintendent of Police has been promoted to an Assistant Commissioner of Police;

Eric Browne, Assistant Superintendent of Police, has been promoted to Superintendent of Police;

Elton Jackson, Assistant Superintendent of Police has been promoted to Superintendent of Police;

Glenford Gregg, Inspector of Police, has been promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police;

Envil Williams, Inspector of Police, has been promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police;

Cosmos George, Sub-Lieutenant, Coast Guard Service, has been transferred to the police service as an Inspector of Police;

Station Sergeant Hanif Simon, has been promoted to an Inspector of Police;

Sergeant Garfield Thomas has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

Sergeant Sigmund Allen has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

Sergeant Junior Simmons has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

Sergeant Charles Allen has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

Sergeant Adrian Francois has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

Corporal Mahlon Cuffy has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

PC John Ballah has been promoted to Station Sergeant;

Kemron BEache, Able Seaman has been promoted to Sub-Lieutenant in the Coast Guard Service.

The Commission has also granted approval for the following acting appointments in the police service with effect from July 16, 2013 and until further notice:

Mr Christopher Benjamin, Superintendent of Police, as an Assistant Commissioner of Police;

Ms Ruth Jacobs, Assistant Superintendent of Police, as a Superintendent of Police;

Ms Thecla Andrews, Inspector of Police, as an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

The following acting appointments in the coast guard service have also been approved:

Mr Brenton Cain, Lieutenant Commander, as Commander, with effect from March 15, 2013 and until further notice;

Lieutenant Deon Henry, as Lieutenant Commander, with effect from June 13, 2013 and until further notice;

Sub-Lieutenant Enos Hamlette, as a Lieutenant, with effect from June 13, 2013 and until further notice;

Chief Petty Officer Aaron Francois, as a Sub-Lieutenant, with effect from June 13, 2013 and until further notice;

Petty Officer Anthony Delpeche, as a Chief Petty Officer, with effect from June 13, 2013 and until further notice.
