Deputy Chief Commissioner Sherron Peters presented Michelle Quashie, Phillip Jacobs, Huelin Brewster and Jonathon Noel to Chief Scout, Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne, at a ceremony at Government House on May 14.

Quashie is the new headquarters commissioner, Jacobs, the training commissioner, while Brewster and Noel are district commissioners for Windward and Kingstown respectively.

A release from the Scout Association said the warranting of these new commissioners would assist greatly in the rebuilding thrust of the Scout movement here.

In his remarks, Sir Frederick thanked the newly installed commissioners for their volunteerism. He said their volunteering for service to the Scout Movement comes at a crucial time for the organization and the youth of St Vincent and the Grenadines. He reiterated the sentiment that there is a need for more adults to step forward and assist organizations that focus on youth and their development.

The warrants are valid for three years.
