Carice Glasgow off to Tortola for Miss Caribbean World

Miss SVG 2012 Carice Glasgow will represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in the 8th Miss Caribbean World pageant in Tortola tomorrow evening.{{more}}

Glasgow, who left the state on Tuesday, will compete in several categories – costume, swimwear, talent, evening gown and interview. The personal interview was held on May 1. She is being accompanied by her chaperone Merlon Yearwood.

The pageant will be held at the Multipurpose Sports Complex and will begin at 7 p.m. The other participating countries include: Antigua & Barbuda – Ranee Laronde; Bahamas – Mea Petit Homme; British Virgin Islands – Sharie De Castro; Cuba – Daniela Garcia; Dominica-Leslassa Armour Shillingford; St Croix – Cliaunjel Williams; St Kitts and Nevis – Trevicia Adams; St Lucia – Joy-Ann Biscette; Trinidad and Tobago – Sonia Millington; USA – Jaielean Thomas.

The reigning Miss Caribbean World is Nadira Lando of Dominica.

Glasgow and Yearwood are expected to return to the state on Sunday.
