Students host ‘Walk For Life’

A charity walk for cancer will be staged on April 20 under the theme “Walk for life, fighting cancer one step at a time”.{{more}}

The walk is being held as an effort to raise funds which would be donated to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cancer Society to assist with fighting the disease.

It also hoped that the walk will raise awareness of cancer, show support to survivors and promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Following the walk, participants will be given further information on the treatment and prevention of the disease.

The walk is the effort of two students, Keleen John and Sofia Warner, who are pursuing studies in social work at the University of the West Indies Open Campus, St Vincent.
