Runway set for Déjà Vu
The runway is set for what is expected to be the biggest fashion event to take place here in recent times.{{more}}
The designers are ready, the models are prepped, the location has been arranged, and the guest of honour is honoured to be the featured designer at Déjà Vu, Past Present and Future.
The show takes place tomorrow at the Balcombeâs Residence at Indian Bay, beginning with the fashion village, and followed by the featured attraction: creations by five local fashionistas and internationally acclaimed Project Runway finalist Viktor Luna.
Fans of fashion would not have to wait until tomorrow to get a taste of what is in store, as the models and Luna himself will be on the showroom floor of Courts St Vincent Limited, strutting their stuff, and signing autographs.
Todayâs event is hosted as part of Courtâs Fashionable Furniture promotional campaign, where customers can not only win their furniture purchases free, but also win tickets to the show which begins at 5 p.m.
Kimon Baptiste, the producer of the event, disclosed that all systems are go for the premier event, which will feature fresh and innovative styles from herself, as well as Shernicia Mayers, Tamika âTammi Bâ Brown, Lisa Cordice, and New York based Vincentian Donna Weekes.
Baptiste indicated that Lunaâs production is called Viktor Luna Gala, and that persons at the event would be the first to view what are expected to be masterpieces.
A host of institutions and organizations, including SEARCHLIGHT, Digicel, Invest SVG, St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, Courts St Vincent Limited, Minors Construction, National Lotteries Authority, St Vincent Brewery Limited, and Awesome Vibes Entertainment have thrown their weight behind the effort.
