Minister Burgin in Nairobi for meeting

Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment Clayton Burgin left the state last Friday to attend the 27th session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environmental Forum of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP){{more}}, being held in Nairobi, Kenya from February 18 to 22.

This 27th session will mark an important milestone in the history of UNEP, in particular with regard to the realisation of the strengthening and upgrading of the Programme.

The session will consider reports on important issues in the field of the environment, as mandated by the Governing Council at its previous sessions, and also on the proposed biennial budget and support programme for 2014 to 2015.
