Proprietor of the catering company, Sabrina Marks-Dasent, said that she is pleased to launch the product in St Vincent, especially after getting such high reviews on it.
âI started serving this chutney as an accompaniment to many of my dishes,â she said. âPeople loved it and kept telling me to bottle and sell it.â
Marks-Dasent highlighted that her chutney is completely homemade in a kitchen that is certified by the Public Health Department.
âIt has an incredible mix of ingredients with a high proportion of juicy tomatoes which gives it a full body,â she said.
Other ingredients of the product include garlic, pepper and herbs.
Additionally, the proprietor said that ingredients are mostly sourced locally and that Plum Tree Chutney can be put to a variety of uses.
âYou can serve it with savoury snacks such as samosas or patties,â Marks-Dasent explained. ââ¦with sandwiches, hotdogs, meat, fish, curry and vegetarian dishesâ.
The product is available at Sunrise Supermarket and at Bonadie Supermarket # 2 at an affordable price.
Marks-Dasent, however, assured that the product will be available at other supermarket outlets very soon.
