Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, speaking at the first press conference for the New Year on Wednesday, also said that based on the information he was given, the project – the largest capital project in the country’s history – is expected to finish on schedule this year.

“If there is any residual work to be done into the New Year (2014) I don’t think anyone will hang me for it,” Gonsalves said.

Despite saying that the amount of money needed was significant, he remained optimistic, saying that he expected that he would acquire the amount needed.

“I think that from various sources that we have been tapping, both in cash and in kind, that we will be able to make it,” Gonsalves said.

“We have faith and we believe that the faith will be made complete; made manifest fully,” the prime minister said.(DD)
