Courts rewards five lucky customers

Five customers of Courts St Vincent Limited were all smiles this week, after claiming their winnings, which ranged from food vouchers to $8,000, in the Courts Create the Magic Christmas Campaign.{{more}}

Sharing in the major prize of $32,000 is Belair resident Thelma Williams, who collected her $8,000 cheque on Wednesday, on the showroom floor of Courts Kingstown.

Williams, who purchased a juicer and two phones, said that she was elated to win the cash, but she has not yet decided what it will go towards.

“I feeling great; when I get the paper I hold it up before the Lord and I bless it, so God is in it.”

The long standing Courts customer said that she intends to continue shopping at Courts, and used the opportunity to encourage others to come down to Courts.

“I want to say thanks to Courts, because they give back. I just want to tell everybody come down to Courts and shop because it’s the best place. Bring down your whole family. You don’t have to have any money, just come empty pocket and shop at Courts this Christmas,” she proclaimed.

Equally excited, though their winnings were not as large, were Karen Burnett of Argyle and Niasha Lucas of Murrays Village, who walked away with $500 each.

Burnett, a school teacher who purchased two compact refrigerators, and Lucas a secretary, whose purchase was a sectional couch, indicated that it was a good feeling to get back a reward, after years of loyalty to the store.

The ladies indicated that the funds have come in handy, which they would use towards “taking care of some bills and making a purchase for a relative.”

Winning food vouchers were Clare Valley resident Yvonne Davis and Patrick Garraway of Belair.

Davis said that the $250 worth of food, which will be redeemed from CK Greaves supermarket, would go well with the dining room set she purchased, while Garraway, who bought a bed and mattress, said that the groceries would come in handy, especially at this season.

The winners all became eligible to be a part of the promotion, after making purchases of $499 or more at Courts.

Meanwhile, tons of gifts and prizes were dished out by Courts last weekend, as the store hosted a shopping extravaganza on the showroom floor, showcasing the many products and services available, and rewarding customers for their purchases.

Courts officials say that the weekend promotion was a huge success.
