The Vincentian Association of Artists Writers and Producers will holds its first general meeting today â Tuesday â at the UWI Open Campus Lecture Hall at 7.45 p.m.{{more}}
The meeting will hear the Chairmanâs Report, as well as the plans proposed for 2012 – 2013 year; deliver awards; announce the inauguration of the First Lifetime Achievement Award and the National Poetry Awards named in honour of five premier national poets of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The association is registered as a private non-profit company and has had a stellar first year, president René Baptiste said in a press release.
The meeting is open to members of the association, which is managed by a three-member Board of Directors, which comprises Baptiste, vice-presidents Cecil âBlazerâ Williams and Mark Cyrus.
